Aisha Hinds

Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her performances in the television shows "The Shield" and "True Blood'. From her appearance on the show in 2003 Aisha J. Hinds has proved her versatility as an actor by giving outstanding performances in television series such as "9-1-1," "Detroit 18-7', and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her character Anna in the film "Assault on Precinct 13,". The film was her character as Fannie Lou (a female activist for human right to equality) as part of the biographical 'All the Way" film that first brought her into the spotlight of the people as an actress. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's drama period show 'Underground'. She currently stars on the procedural drama series '9-1-1' in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta "Hen" Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the series for a new season.
